Welcome to the South Dakota State Employees Organization, a voluntary association of and for South Dakota state employees. The SDSEO works on behalf of all South Dakota citizens, taxpayers, and state employees to provide a lobbying voice and watchdog force in favor of the South Dakota state employee. The SDSEO works year-round to protect and improve salaries, benefits, and working conditions for South Dakota state employees. We are headquartered in Pierre, but we have active and energized chapters statewide. The SDSEO is not a union.

Feb. 1, 2012 - New to the site is the Notes page, which is where Executive Director Eric Ollila posts "workaday" informational items; take a look at the page for insight into the Executive Director's office.

Feb. 4, 2012 - Two pages removed and two pages added to the site. Gone are "Become a Member" and "Benefits." They are replaced by Join! and SDSEO Member Benefits. More coming!

The SDSEO recognizes the selfless and valuable efforts of all South Dakota state employees, employees for whom every working day is spent in the service of both South Dakota and all South Dakotans. Making South Dakota better every day is the goal of all South Dakota state employees, and the SDSEO provides the support that allows South Dakota state employees to think about the job at hand, rather than worry about pay, benefits, job satisfaction, or even a layoff.
